slaymesoftly mentioned in a recent comment that she couldn't find the little pencil icon to edit one of her replies, and I'm pretty sure it was there "before". (Before when? IDK.) I could be mistaken. I've asked all sorts of questions on the FAQ page, fed in keywords, gone over my settings etc. Anyone have any ideas how to return that function to comments?
ETA:
rahirah seems to have found the answer - until next time I can't figure LJ out.
Thanks muchly - and help yourself to a cookie. I mean this kind of cookie, silly. Not this kind.
(Oh don't look at me that way. I've been waiting to make that joke for a whole year.)

Date: 2013-06-24 08:25 pm (UTC)ETA: It's there for me if I view the entry in my own style settings.
Obviously that doesn't help much, I know, but maybe it'll help narrow down the problem. :P

Date: 2013-06-25 08:54 am (UTC)Yeah, I notice that now. I usually browse with images disabled and if you do that, it doesn't seem to pop up. Maybe sms had the same problem?
I don't get why they add all these stupid "features". I have to turn off adblock and spotify to see comments in some journals.

Date: 2013-06-25 01:41 pm (UTC)I haven't had to do that yet, although yesterday I had to get use to the way some tumblr blogs are set up - move your cursor a little too far to the right margin and the ads cover up the content until you move it back.
The template I had before this one - the woodcut series - had a bar for ads on the side or top; oddly enough this one I'm using now doesn't, and I do have a free account. Maybe they get enough money from elsewhere - it's not like I'd actually click on one of those stupid ads. (Does anybody, except by accident?)
I noticed that they just changed LJ homepage and made it INFINITELY more confusing (yeesh) - as if we need MORE visual gobbledygook thrown at us. fortunately I've got my bookmark directly to my journal and bypass it altogether.
FYI: how funny is it that my LJ marks "tumblr" as a misspelling but recognizes "gobbledygook"? ;)
