Last (and I do mean last) chance to nominate in Round 30 of SunnyD Memorial Fanfic awards

Today (10/18) is the deadline for nominations at the Sunnydale Memorial Fanficton Awards Round 30; voting begins tomorrow and runs through November 30th. So if you haven't nominated your favorite fics of the year, now's the chance.  Make sure you check out the Rules thoroughly; they're quite concise and clear. (Such as "Please nominate only one person per submission. I don't remember if that was a rule last round or not but if it was, holy smokes....spuffy_luvr gave me a stern talking to for that one, and I deserved it.)

I'm in awe of all the work and time dragonydreams and her team put into maintaining these awards; and I have to give a special nod to pickamix's beautiful banners/graphics.

Speaking of dragonydreams btw, she's back with a new challenge for otherworldlyric! There was one entry so she's extended it a week; the deadline is now Friday October 24, so check it out.

To blow your mind even more...no team at SunnyD. It's all me. Which is why the site hasn't been updated for several weeks. Guess I should do that if it's really the last day. I always forget to leave myself reminders of when stages of the site end. Good thing I have friends who post reminders for other people, which then remind me to do my job.

And the rule to only nominate one person per form has always existed. Or at least for so long that I don't remember when I added it.

I feel a little guilty that I haven't take the time to do nominations this round but I also missed Round 28. every other seems to be my pattern. It's nice that there's always another one to look fowrward to, (still don't know how you manage it all.)

I had a partner in the beginning, but she's been out of fandom for a couple of years now. And while I'm no longer writing, the awards are still important to me.

Usually I just reply and ask you to not do it. If there are a lot of nominations to get through, I just grumble and let it go. It can be confusing because the way the form comes into me isn't always the same way it's laid out on the site.

I've always done all the coding on the site and most of the artwork. She mainly helped to choose the featured character for the round. It was also her creation. I joined on because I had (minor though they are) web skills, so I've been involved for 10 years. (Hard to believe it's been that long.) I've been going without her input for the past couple of years, though.

Is that a rule? It shouldn't be. You can submit as many nominations as you want in any given round. But it should only be for one person/site per form. The site would die if each person only nominated once per round. You can only vote once per round. That is a rule.

Hey,now none of this '"downplaying my abilities" nonsense young lady. You have valuable and desirable skills that many people don't. (On top of all the things you do to keep fandom creativity alive for other people.)

WOW. That's staying power, honey. And one of the things I love best about this fandom - it has a history.

I might be misunderstanding then. Like, I tend to turn in several nomination forms as things come to me "oh yeah, I forgot to nominate that" although moreso with wicked awards than sunnyd I think. And i'd nominate more than one story in the same catagory, not because I'm indecisive and can't decide best - ok, because I'm indecisive.

You can only vote once per round. That is a rule.

As well it should be. I wonder if anyone has violated that one?

I was going to ask if it was a rule that one couldn't ask others to vote for them - but I'm thinking of the icontests where the work is supposed to be anonymous.
