Banner for lookslikerain, whedon_elite Challenge 134 "Levels"; and banner for slayerstillness Challenge 60.  Thank you to everyone who voted my icon Most Creative! sweet_lyri won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, Best Crop and Best Color; crazycordy and tempertemper earned Mod's Choice and teragramm was awarded the oh-so-prestigous* Banner Maker's Choice for her witty and fierce Dawn icon:

#1 - Lens and optical flare light effects by daWiiZ on DeviantArt. The challenge this round was "levels" so I layered two or three light textures over one another, then created the repeat in ipiccy's collage setting. I also wanted a background that would suit the outer space setting of lookslikerain's Firefly/Serenity icons.

#2 - The base image of torn paper and the grunge overlay are by AmaranthusCaudatus on DeviantArt.  Thank you teragramm for the link to this resource!

*Who am I making fun of here? Myself, obviously.
