Update: I've got my sweetie hooked on it too! *lol* So thanks for the rec, I'm really enjoying the character dynamics. And I like the way that they sort of dive into things and assume you'll be able to follow along, and the fact that they sometimes choose not to show things. In the Christmas episode in S1, just when I thought it was going to get a bit too sappy and maudlin (ok, it sort of does), it ends with Brennan by herself, not joining in with the group as I thought they might have her do, and opening her parents' last gifts to her - and we never see what's in the box, just her reaction. And the last ep of S6 (yes, I cheated and watched the last couple minutes), Brennan gives Booth a very important piece of news and it ends with his silent reaction as he just begins to process it. And THAT, I thought, is how you do a scene like that.
And DB is charming (even my sweetie thinks he is) but ED is starting to grow on me; she has some wonderfully underplayed moments (talking to the little boy about what happened to his foster brother may be the moment I started to fall a little in love with her character.)
