I haven't seen Orange yet, although I've been thinking about doing so when I found out there was a female pairing on it. If you think it's worth watching that bumps it up a bit. (I see that it's from the creators of weeds, which we really enjoyed at first and then, oh god, did it become painful. So I'm a little shy.)

I'm not familiar with the use of that term in this context but I've seen movies and tv shows for decades that use a white protagonist to "tell the stories" of POC. That trope has probably been around for centuriesm actually. (Cry Freedom, Mississipi Burning, Dances with Wolves, etc etc etc.) Why don't writers/creators use POC's to tell the stories of POC's?
