Which borough do you live in? We were talking to a married couple at a Bareburger restaurant on the upper east side and he was asking where we were going, if we needed directions etc but his wife said, half-jokingly, that he was only good for their little neighborhood. We discovered that a lot, but that's true for most of us, I guess, New Yorkers or not - we know our little place where we live and work but not much outside it. (I've never been to the seaport museum in the town where I've lived over 10 years.)
I'd like to go back to Brooklyn and explore a bit more, then maybe the other boroughs as well. (We've already been to Staten Island once before.) The area around the BAM felt so relaxed after the subway ride from Manhattan. Everything being relative of course.
