About those meta recs: Have you read "And When The Sky Was Opened: The Passion of Cordelia Chase" 1, 2 by eleusis_walks? His take on Cordelia as a saint is very original and goes a long way to reconcile oneself with canon. :) Actually, /all/ of eleusis_walks essays are awesome, like the one on Mystical Pregnancy on Ats (Blessed Art Thou Among Women: Female Identity and the Monstrous Womb in Angel: The Series) - its link seems to be inaccessible at the moment but I have a copy saved if you want.
