I can "hear" most characters using the third person on occasion.
I've seen Spike and Willow refer to themselves in third person in fic; and I can't remember specific instances on the show, but it seems like a very Willow thing to do. But in fanfic the writers are very specifically borrowing from the exact way Buffy talks about herself in Life Serial and adopting that as the way she talks to herself constantly. And almost always as a two-word sentence, or the start of the sentence preceding mopey self-recrimination. Only the adjectives are changed.
