Actually the photoset I picked and the icons, consequently, are very recent. I think Michelle did this one in 2014 or something and you can see her hair being darker.

I honestly couldn't lust on her Buffyverse photos. Too young for my tastes. NOW she's really hot. (she's actually a bit older than me but we are almost there age-wise)
