My sweetie does not like Elements at all - she misses her full version of Photoshop (on our computer that was burnt up in the fire) because she found it easier to use! And she was not doing very complicated things - she wasn't doing blends or anything of that nature. But she could wipe wires or small objects from pictures, she could downsize images for ebay etc, basic things, and she says the old full PS was more user friendly than Elements. But to get another version now would be super-expensive
I tend to agree, with the little knowledge of it I have. I still haven't figured out how to crop a photo and keep both the new version AND the original intact. And I don't have prior knowledge of PS so I assumed Elements would be easier for me than her. I suppose I need to take the time to master it.
Other people love gimp but I couldn't get past that first page of text. I'll give it another try sometime.
