I voted for Bangel icons, WIllow, Xander, Illyria, Cordy - all over the map. I really do take the "vote for the icon" shit seriously. And like you I want to be "fair", I want to spread the love, but I'm not wanting to vote for an icon "just because" I feel I should give someone a vote either. It's tricky.

And then I know how I felt seeing the voting results and - is it ok to say I'm feeling disappointed and I need to STFU now. RIGHT NOW.
