Vote now at the otherworldlyric icontest!

http://otherworldlyric.livejournal.com

I didn't enter this round because of general busy-ness-ness the last week (and being in NY and et cetera) but I just voted - so please do go vote for your favorite entries in this round because there are so fantastically lovely entries. I love the delicacy of this set overall.

Did I mention I'm back from NYC, btw? I'm baaaaaaaaacccccccckkkkkk.......

There will be fluffy stories this week, m'dears.

And if I get my act together, a Buffy & Joyce meta inspired by [livejournal.com profile] comlodge's beautiful School Hard/Chosen banner:

(You know I'm not at my home computer when I'm reduced to typing out the  addys.)

No but I saw the reminders! How much time do I have? Because truth be told I probably need to read the entries before I vote! (It's a thing with me.) The good news is, I'm a fast reader!

You have! Not your fault at all, but I was so busy before going off to NYC with all sorts of things that I honestly let it slip. Not for the first time (I've completely missed the second to last round of Sunnydale Memorial Awards - horrors!)

Your life is incredibly hectic so you are entirely excused, believe me!

BTW, how is everything going?

Thank you kind and merciful mistress!

Everything is going - I guess ok! The gentleman who I work for two days a week wants me to add a third day starting next week, so he's definitely happy with what I do! I don't feel as wiped out from NYC as I expected to, but I think acupuncture treatments every week have made a huge difference for me in so many ways - and the city didn't overwhelm me the way it did ten years ago. I felt like I might have a seizure on Thursday but other than that I was ok.

I have lots to tell - we bought loose tea in Chinatown!

Yay! I keep hearing wonderful things about acupuncture. Maybe someday I can give it a try. I am so thrilled it's helping you and that you made it through NYC with only one scare. *hugs*

Acupuncture is like anything else - a lot of it really depends on the practicioner. If you're not comfortable with the person, it won't work. And I've been to people where it just didn't for me, and maybe that person would work find for someone else. The last three or so years my sweetie and I have been going to someone who is very good, very skilled and very serious about his work as a medical acupuncturist. He's studied in china and the US, and will be going back to Thailand later in the year because he was invited back to teach there. He's only the second acupuncturist my sweetie and i have been to for a substantial length of time in the last 20 years.

So yes, I am VERY lucky. He still has a practice in NYC in Chinatown actually (although he's American) but he happened to establish a second practice in the town I'm living in.
