Back in the day I liked '90's fashions much better than '70's or '80's fashions in general. More streamlined, less fussy - although having only one silhouette (and it's actually gotten worse since then - women's clothes are designed for a single body type); and the colors (sand, celery, sage, salmon) were boring. (The only thing I miss about '80's fashions are the jewel-tones.) OTOH I liked the renewal of the 1930's long gowns.
I wouldn't say that 1960's fashions are better - they look good in modern interpretations but when I look at magazines from the period, it's a different story entirely. To me it's too false, too constructed.
